REGISTRATION INFO & POLICIES
To Register:
Register by mail, in person, by phone, or online.You may make payments for all courses on one check or transaction. Registration is complete only when fee is paid. Please make checks payable to BBE Community Education. Mail to PO Box 39, Brooten, MN 56316 or drop off at either school office.
Fees:
All course fees are payable at time of registration. Payment Plans are available upon request.
Refunds:
A full refund will be made if the course is cancelled. No refunds will be made after the class begins. Refunds MAY be given cancellations are requested before class starts. Trip cancellations must be made two weeks in advance in order to receive full refund.
Registration Deadlines:
Shirts or any other "add on" to a class are not guaranteed if registered after the deadline.
Instructors & Volunteers Are Needed!
You do not need a degree to teach a Community Ed class. You do not need certificate to be a volunteer coach. Contact Heidi or Holli at 320-254-8211 Option 4.

FALL FUN SERIES
Enjoy three nights of fall fun! All three and four year olds are invited to join us as we celebrate all things fall with crafts, games, snacks, and more. Register early because we will fill up fast! There will be a 15-minute separation time during this class while parents go with our parent educator, Mrs. Alyssa Zacharias.
Please register by October 31.

BOO FEST FOR 2'S!
Join us for time to play, create,

Preschool Screening

Monday, October 7, 2024
Parents / Guardians of children born before January 1, 2021 who have not been previously screened will receive communication in the mail to set up preschool screening. Mailings will include Registration Form, Consent Forms, a Health & Developmental History Form, a District Census Form, an Ages & Stages (Social/Emotional) Parent Questionnaire, and a Vision Screening Chart for you and your child to practice with.

TIE DYE CLASS
Unleash your creativity and add a splash of color to your wardrobe with our Tie Dye class! This hands-on class is perfect for all skill levels, whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned DIY enthusiast! Our instructor will guide you through the step-by-step process of folding, tying, and dyeing your fabric to achieve stunning results. We will be dying a pillowcase (provided) and one other item (please bring from home). The pillowcase, dye, and a snack will be provided. By the end of the class, you'll leave with two custom tie-dye creations and the skills to continue experimenting at home.

VOLLEYBALL
FUTURE VOLLEYBALL STARS (GR K-4)
The BBE Volleyball Coaches along with Jaguar players are offering a fall camp for boys & girls in GRADES K-4! These two sessions will focus on skills like passing, setting, serving, and hitting, along with playing the game of volleyball.
On Thursday, Sept. 19th, each child is invited to stay after camp to eat pizza and make posters for the C-squad, Jr Varsity, and Varsity games.
We'll have a meet and greet with the Varsity players before the game, where players will sign campers' t-shirts!
Admission into the game is included in registration.
Register by September 3rd to guarantee a t-shirt.

GR 5-6 FALL VOLLEYBALL
GRADES 5-6 are invited to participate in a volleyball season, including the Future Volleyball Stars Volleyball Camp! Athletes will participate in practices and a few competitive games against other schools.
Schedules will be released at a later date, so please get registered to ensure you receive all communications. Players will get a game jersey to wear and return at the end of the season. Please register by August 30th.

TACKLE FOOTBALL (GR 5-6)
Tackle football is for 5-6th graders who are ready for full-contact fun! Mandatory team and parent meeting will be held on Thursday August 22 @ 6pm @ BBE Elem. School. Equipment will be handed out at this time. CE provides mouth guard to keep, helmet, pads, jersey, and pants. Athlete provides socks and cleats.
Optional football equipment bags will be available for purchase for an additional $20. Practices will be on Sunday & Thursday nights 6:00-7:30 and games will be on Thursday nights and Saturday mornings. Season will end the beginning of October. Full schedules will be handed
out at the meeting.

FOOTBALL
FLAG FOOTBALL (GR 3-4)
Boys & girls in grades 3-4 are welcome to join us for flag football behind the Elementary in Brooten for three weeks. Our fourth week will be on the high school field under the lights! Parents are encouraged to stay and help. Register by August 30 to guarantee a t-shirt.

The High School Weight Room will be open to BBE students in grades 6-12 on school days before school and after school.
Please be respectful and follow the rules of the weight room.

DRIVER'S ED &
BEHIND THE WHEEL
CLASSROOM DRIVER'S ED
This class fulfills the state mandated 30-hours of classroom instruction in drivers training. Upon completion of the course, students receive a blue card as certification of course completion. When applying for a permit, the student must bring their blue card and one form of legal identification along. Classroom training should be done when the student is close to 15 years old. Students cannot apply for their permit until they are 15 years old. Students must have their permit for 6 months before applying for a driver’s license. The fee includes a $20 non-refundable deposit for Behind the Wheel training.

Behind the Wheel instruction is the next step for students who have taken Classroom Driver’s Ed and obtained their permit. The fee includes 6 total hours of driving with a licensed instructor over 3 dates.

DEFENSIVE DRIVING
The 8 hour initial course is no longer a requirement. The current 4 hour course will be offered in lieu of the the 8 hour course and will work as both the initial and refresher.

4 HR ON-SITE VIRTUAL DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE
Save on Your Car Insurance with Defensive Driving
If you are 55 or older, save money on your car insurance premiums and become a better driver! Minnesota law requires that insurance companies offer a 10% reduction on auto insurance for three years if you complete a state-approved defensive driving course taught by professional, certified instructors.
This course is held via zoom - no driving or test required. At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion to provide to your insurance agent.
**This will be a Zoom class, but BBE Community Ed will host and facilitate the Zoom.**
